BECAUSE: Last week's judges preview critique left the four season 14 Project Runaway finalists scrambling -- exactly where you don't want to be two days before heading to one of the biggest fashion platforms in the world. But those crazy kids pulled it together, literally with a bucket of glitter and a prayer, and in the end, Ashley -- and the first plus-size collection in Project Runway history -- took home the glitter-covered crown.

How to Get Away with Murder
ABC
WHAT HAPPENED: "It's him." Those two words have shaken HTGAWM to its very core... a core that consists of a spinning cheerleader, a couple of bleeding-out protagonists, and whole bunch of room-temperature vodka. In fact, this episode is stuffed with little plot bombs: "You like court cases? Have four of them. Startling confessions? There're a couple of those, too," according to EW recapper Justin Kirkland. On top of the case of the week, Annalise brings Eve back in as Nate's lawyer when ADA Sinclair charges him with poisoning his wife (he did, of course, but after two trips to court, the judge rules he didn't because, "Law: HAHAHAHA" -HTGAWM). And there was the ongoing Hapstall sibling case, which had Oliver finally setting up shop in Annalise's headquarters to play with the big kids, completely against Connor's wishes. And Connor had every right to be nervous, because our worst theories have come true: Philip, the recently discovered Hapstall spawn who's been spying on Ollie, showed up at his apartment with one terrifying question: "Hi, Oliver. How's your night going?" That can't be good.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: But as TV Line says, "With so much OMG-WTF-GRRRRL,NAW plot to digest ... you'd be forgiven for momentarily forgetting the two most essential words uttered over the course of the 60-minute roller coaster ride: 'It's him.'" Oh right, back to that. When Eve figures out that Wes is the one Annalise is doing all this to protect and asks why, those are the only two words of explanation Big A offers. SO WHAT DO THEY MEAN?! That he's her son just seems a little too easy (and icky considering the frequent sexual tension). Let the theorizing commence.

The Blacklist
NBC
WHAT HAPPENED: Explaining the bananas plot of Thursday night's The Blacklist EW recapper Jodi Walker says that, "It felt a little bit like the writers took all of the leftover notecards from the 'Random Ideas' bulletin board that had been collecting since season 1, stacked them up, and then, instead of putting them in the recycling bin, someone in the back of the room was like, "Hey, you know what would be crazy..." Surely that explains how we ended up with an eccentric billionaire Blacklister who operates from a permanently airborne jet and is cryogenically freezing the world's foremost geniuses as the foundation for a Utopian future. But hey, this nutball is bringing Liz one step closer to freedom -- see, one of his brainy ice cubes is Andras Halmi, a man whom Red needs to get into a safe deposit box containing evidence that the Director has been scamming the Cabal out of money with plans to make a sneaky escape. Well, actually Red just needs Halmi's thumbs... and thumbs, he gets.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: How about what are people feeling? Excited and confused, it seems. Though The Wall Street Journal recapper is "a little disappointed that the solutions to our hero's problems seem so simplistic" (sure, it's just a stack of cash -- but they had to use thumbs to get it!), but also more and more confident that Red is going to get the Director. And this episode nailed home even further that Mr. Solomon will probably soon be after the Cabal's shaky leadership. Needless to say, the dude is going down. Now, what to do about Mr. Solomon... we're gonna need a bigger thumb.

Scandal
ABC
WHAT HAPPENED: "Just when we were getting sick of the impeachment runaround, the will-they-or-won't-they Liv and Fitz wedding, and Mellie monologues (just kidding, I never get sick of Mellie monologues), Scandal gives us an episode to remind us all why we love the show in the first place," says EW recapper Isabella Biedenharn. Basically, Olivia is back to doing what she does best: handling a well-executed case of the week inspired by the Bill Cosby scandal (complete with a live recreation of the powerful New York magazine cover that brought together all of Cosby's accusers/victims). Fitz narrowly avoids impeachment thanks to Liv, and gives a winning apology. Cyrus is even under the impression (and not happy about it) that Liv is basically the acting President of the United States because now that they're officially a "couple," Fitz is hanging on every word of advice she gives. Looks like somebody's theoretically back on top. Except...
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: Olivia totally let her father, a mass murderer, escape from prison, you guys. Don't forget -- that's really what kept Fitz from getting impeached and it's bound to be a lightning rod for much more than just Jake's justified anger. The A.V. Club puts it plainly: "Freeing Eli was a completely bonehead move. As we're almost constantly reminded, he is a mass-murderer. No good can come of his release; even Huck gets that, and he's batshit crazy. And the Olivia Pope we know doesn't pull bonehead moves." Enjoy this competent Oval Office bliss while it lasts, friends, because we might just be headed into the unknown.
